Purse Organization
I think purse organization is an often overlooked, but really important part of staying organized. You probably use your purse daily, so shouldn’t it be neat and easy to find what you need?
First, I like to find purses with several pockets. That helps keep things more organized right away. I think I got this one on clearance at target. It has the tiny outer pocket, one main section and one section on each side of that.
The tiny outer pocket holds a pair of nail clippers, because I tend to get annoying hangnails all the time. The next pocket holds chapstick and my keys. I don’t want a lot in the pocket, because I want to be able to easily find my keys and not have to dig around for them.
The main compartment holds my wallet, my business card holder, a zippered pouch, an Envirosax bag, and a nail file. The key to keeping this section organized is the zippered pouch where I keep all the odds and ends. That way I don’t have lots of little things floating around. It has some glass cleaning wipes, some hand wipes, hair ties, band aids, etc. I love the business card holder so that my business cards are super easy to access and I also put appointment reminder cards in there. I love keeping the fold out bag in my purse, because it has come in handy on so many occassions. I keep a whole set of 5 in my car for when I’m grocery shopping.
The back compartment holds my laminated index card with the scripture I’m working on memorizing, a little mirror, and one of those $2 photo books from Target.
I use the photo booklet to organize coupons and store loyalty cards that aren’t on my keychain. I actually don’t place the coupons inside the pockets. I simply place the booklet upside down inside my purse, and then I place each coupon in between two pages, so basically the booklet just asks as a separator. That way I can pull out the coupon or card that I need without having to take the whole booklet out of my purse. I’ve tried lots of different ways of organizing my coupons, and this has been by far my favorite way!
How about you? How do you keep your purse organized?

Yes, I agree with you–having my purse organized is very important. And I can’t imagine trying to use a purse without compartments or pockets. I’m going to try your coupon system, because I’m still looking for one that works so that I actually use my coupons. 😉

I always feel so much more “in control” when my purse is organized. I pretty much like my whole life to be organized. Which is why I love your blog so much. 🙂
And I love the photo album idea with the coupons! I may have to try that one.

I have a bunch of those zippered make-up bags in my purse. I like knowing where everything is. The pouches are all different sizes and shapes so I can reach into my bag blindly so matter what bag I have with me. It also makes it that much easier to go from bag to beach bag to other bag when needed.

Happy Tuesday!

I actually have a really cool purse. I got it for about $12 or so online (that number includes shipping, and it is surprisingly nice quality for such a low price.) It has 1 mini pocket, which holds my inhaler, 2 lengthwise side pockets, (they’re next to each other though, not on top of each other, and they snap shut. They’re each perfect for holding a paperback book or random stuff) and 1 normal/major pocket that I keep organized with mini beauty bags holding categories of items, and the pocket also holds my bible and a mini binder. The store I bought from no longer carries the bag (I just checked) so I’m glad I bought it when I did. As you can see, I stuff a LOT in my purse and carry it everywhere, but it is indeed organized 🙂

Like you, my purse is super-duper organized! lol If you have an iPhone, there is no need to carry around the store cards. There is a great app called aptly, Key Ring. It’s great and you can access all store sale flyers from the app. But, if you don’t, that’s great organizing tip. Thanks.

I have about 5 zippered makeup bags in my purse to separate stuff. Just started this not too long ago, but wish I had done it sooner. It is a great tool. I too can find things blindly.

I use these zipper pouches – super nice, and they all coordinate! They come with a set of permanent labels to use if you like, and a free bonus fold-up grocery bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083SRL885

I usually keep my purse organized and clean by using make up pouches for like items. That way I know what is in each pouch without having to dump everything out to find something. Saves time from searching too. I even use one for receipts. Another for a small notebook and pen.
