Plan Your Day Challenge
I’d like to invite you to join us for our Plan Your Day Challenge in February. If you’ve been following along for a while, I've been running these challenges regularly. The challenges really help me stay motivated and focused on doing a little each day to keep our household running smoothly plus it really helps to develop good habits. We started with the clean sink challenge back in June, and have done one each month since then.
I'm so excited about this particular challenge – seriously, I want to jump up and down!!! I definitely need this one. January was a pretty crazy month for me. On top of the usual craziness of running an organizing blog during the new year, my husband broke his arm plus he was sick twice and my baby girl was sick also. In the midst of all that, I let my usual habit of planning each day slide, and that is the one thing that probably contributes the most to a productive day.
If you're not in the habit of making a plan for the day, you really should try it. I don't care if you use a fancy planner, an app on your phone, print out a daily planning sheet, or just simply write your plan on a scrap piece of paper. I also don't think it matters a lot whether you plan the night before or first thing in the morning. (I'll probably do some of both.) The point is that you need to make a plan. Even if you don't accomplish everything that you intended, you will get so much more done than you would without a plan.
Here's a few ways you can get extra help staying accountable and motivated for this challenge:
- Follow me on Instagram. I'll be posting a photo of my own plan for the day there every day (except Sundays). You can also participate by posting your plan each day with hashtag #planyourdaychallenge
- Join our Facebook group. I'll start a thread each day (except Sundays) with a photo of my plan for the day, and I invite you to post yours there as well.
- Print out the challenge printables and hang it somewhere you can see it. Put a smiley or a sticker on each day that you complete the challenge. Plus I've included a daily planning sheet that you can use to make your plan. Click here to download the printables. If you're already subscribed to my newsletter, you should already have the printables in your e-mail. However, if you can't find the e-mail, feel free to sign up again (and, don't worry, you'll still only be signed up once).
