Organizing the Kitchen Drawers, Part 2
If you missed part 1 of the kitchen drawer organization, you can read about my kitchen junk drawer organizing here.
Up next, here’s how I organize my other kitchen gadgets. First up, I have interlocking clear bins from Target in this drawer:
I really like these bins because the interlock so they don’t slide around. The drawer is lined with white shelf paper, although I’d really like to change that out with a much more fun print. The front bin houses my medium sized knives (and cheese knife). The left bin has my serrated bread knife, chef’s knife, cheese cutter, and meat mallet. The bins on the righ thave my egg separator, biscuit cutter, apple gadget, and pastry blender. I actually didn’t label these. (Gasp!) Honestly, I rarely use the use the egg separator, apple gadget, and cheese slicer, so I think I’m going to move those.
Next up, my silverware drawer is not too exciting. I used the silverware organizer that my silverware set came in. The only thing I wanted to point out is that right in front of it, I keep a sharpie, a pen, my chalkboard pen, and fingernail clippers. Yes, I know, fingernail clippers might seem strange, but my opinion is you can never have too many of them, and I prefer to keep them everywhere. My nails break easily, and this drawer is right by our trash can, so I can just clip it right over the trashcan. My Sharpie comes in handy, because the Ziploc bags are near this drawer, and I often write on those.
Next up, I use little command hooks to hang my measuring cups for easy access and to free up cabinet space. They are right next to my Kitchenaid mixer and my baking supplies.
Next I have a utensil crock (from Pampered Chef) that houses my most frequently used utensils, but I have to say that I don’t love it. I really would prefer nothing at all on my countertops but I think it’s better than having way too much stuff crammed into a drawer in a disorganized fashion, so I live it. It is also quite convenient:
Next up, the drawer with my teflon utensils to use in my non stick cookware are in the skinny drawer right next to my stove:

Love, love, love! I love how neat and tidy it all is. I’d better not show you my utensil drawer. No way. Now my silverware drawer is okay but only if I empty the dishwasher and not one of the kids. After all, we have silverware for 18 in there!

This article is absolutely so informative and so inspiring as well. Organizing a kitchen especially the kitchen drawers is not an easy task. This really takes time and effort but I think when everything is in place, it pays! This blog post can help so much. The ideas are yet so simple but so incredible when it comes to results. I’m very glad this was shared here. Thanks!
