Join us for the Clean Sink Challenge!
Raise your hand if you'd love to wake up to a clean kitchen every morning! (I'm definitely raising my hand.) We're here to help you make that happen every single day by issuing the Clean Sink Challenge for June.
I'd like to challenge you to make sure your dishes are clean before you go to bed each night next month, and I'll be doing the challenge right along with you. It makes such a huge difference in how smoothly our daily life goes plus doing this can be a great springboard to start other good habits as well.
So, how are we going to make his happen? Well, don't worry, I'm not just going to issue the challenge and then leave you on your own to try to follow through with it. I want to give us all the support we need to really make it happen every single day.
Here's how I'm helping you:
1. Support and Motivation
I've started a Facebook group to help support and encourage you. I'll be posting frequent updates, videos, and photos of how the challenge is going for me, and I invite you to do the same. Sometimes just seeing someone else do it is all the motivation you need to get up and do the same. Also, I'm not planning to close the group when the challenge is over, so I want to leave it open as a place to motivate, encourage, and get help with all your home organizing and planning.
Click here to join the group.
2. A Pretty Printable (Of Course!)
What's a challenge without a pretty printable!? I've created a simple printable for this challenge. Print it out and hang it somewhere very visible in your kitchen. Then put an X or a sticker on each day that you complete the challenge. It will be fun to see photos inside the Facebook group of your calendars filled with X's as you complete the challenge! Just click here to download the printable. UPDATE: Click here if you want just the clean sink printable for July 2015.
So, who's with me? Are you ready to wake up to a clean kitchen every day in June?

I am a member of Flylady and it’s their first step to “shine your sink” I’ve been trying to do for a few weeks now and have just printed out a printable for habits and you tick it for 28 days, after which it’s considered a “habit” so I was really happy to see that it’s become your June challenge as I will have people to do this and ensure I stick to it with…be accountable and have support from others.
Thanks and thanks for the printable, so much better than my one LOL

I truly would love to wake up to a clean sink every morning but with teens who snack much later into the evening than my bedtime it’s virtually impossible for me to wake up to the clean sink I shined up before going to bed. Any suggestions?

Post authorFor me, I just try to achieve a clean sink at some point after dinner. If someone has a snack after that, then the kitchen is completely clean when I wake up. However, it’s usually just a little bit of dishes out rather than a lot as it would be if I didn’t get the dishes all clean after dinner.

The rule in our house is ~ if you dirty the dishes after after the sink has been cleaned up, “you clean your dishes and put them away”. If they are not so cooperative, a lost privilege for a bit usually puts the point across. A little self-discipline never hurt anyone 😉
Jenny @ Dishwasher Required Says
We have a similar rule in our house to some others. Once the kitchen is clean and the sink wiped out, the kitchen is closed. If anyone roots around in there for anything after that, they’d better not leave any evidence whatsoever!

I would love to have this printable, as well as the laundry/refresh challenge/paper clutter (???) challenges—but they’re all from either 2015 or so until December 2016[some more than others]????????????????☹️ Could you possibly PRETTY PLEASE ???????? Either update one of each challenge for this year or maybe just make an editable copy for each challenge that us plan-ees ☺️can change the month/days/even years; I would absolutely continue to use them past just 2017!

Post authorYou’re the first person who has asked, but if I get more requests, I’ll definitely consider it.

I remember this challenge all these years later and I came back looking for a copy that I can continue to use. I am following your current “workshop” Get Organized HQ and I am loving it so much but Please I just HATE my sink and would love something to check off every day. Thank you!
