It gives us energy, helps ward off headaches, helps boost our metabolism, improves digestion, promotes healthier skin, and so much more.
But if you’re anything like me, it may not be your favorite thing to drink all the time. Diet Pepsi tastes so much better and there’s nothing quite like a glass of milk with a warm chocolate chip cookie.
While I’m certainly not here to make a ban on enjoying a soda or a glass of milk with dessert, I know from experience that we may need to give ourselves a boost to set ourselves up for success when it comes to drinking water.

Here are 12 quick tips to get you drinking more water in no time. Oh! And I'll use a few affiliate links to recommend some products to you – that just means I get a small percentage if you decide to purchase. I only recommend products I'd recommend to my friends and family.
One mistake I see people make is being far too scientific about it all. Believe me, I’m a researcher and I like to know all the facts and data before I make a decision. But you and I both know that water is good for us, so don’t get hung up on how much is more and just grab a glass and start drinking.
Invest in a Good Water Bottle
This one comes highly recommended from my business manager, Tasha. It’s a Brita water bottle with a covered straw top. The filter that’s built into the straw allows you to fill it up at any tap (which removes the barrier of having to have filtered water on hand at all times!) I like that the straw is covered because it keeps germs off of it – and I’ll be putting my mouth there to drink! It also has a pretty handy rubber strap on the top that makes it easy to carry.
Invest in More than One Good Water Bottle
This was a game changer for me – call me crazy, but having a water bottle on each level of my house has made a huge difference in how much water I drink. Just that simple convenience of not having to walk up the stairs to grab my water bottle makes me drink so much more.
You already brush your teeth every day. Tomorrow when you brush your teeth, grab a glass of water before you do. This is called habit stacking – you form a new habit by pairing it with a habit you’ve already established. And it really works!
Don't Leave the House Without It
Simple as that – if you can help it, don’t leave the house without your water bottle! Errands can end up taking much longer than anticipated and the key is to be drinking a little bit of water all day long.

This is a funny one but it’s a legitimate struggle for some people! When you suddenly increase your intake of water, you’re going to have to pee a lot more than normal.
