21 Days to a More Disciplined Life Review
When Crystal announced on MoneySavingMom.com that she was releasing her first ebook in a long time: 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life, I was excited before I even read it! It’s based off of one of her most popular blog series.
A couple days before she announced the ebook, I was lamenting my recent tumble off the self-discipline bandwagon, and recalled the blog series. I planned to dig through Money Saving Mom’s archives, find the series, and go through again after the conference I’m attending at the end of October. I was ecstatic when she announced that she was releasing the series in ebook form, with even more and improved content!
This is the kind of book that steps on your toes in a good way. I found myself shaking my head knowingly often while reading the book. She does a fantastic job of articulating the things we all know about self discipline in a way that we can really understand the root of the problem and attack it. Also the book has a very positive, upbeat tone that motivates you to improve rather than feel hopeless ands guilty.
The best part about the book is that she doesn't just leave you to ponder the concepts of self discipline. She challenges you and guides you to put it into practice. That is what makes this book so different and so much more impactful than a lot of other books on the subject. Each reading ends with a very specific action plan for you to implement what you read right away.
The other wonderful thing about this book is that you can afford it. For three days only, it's only 99 cents. (Yes, folks, that is cents not dollars). Go ahead and pick up your copy of the ebook here.
Also, rest assured that I'm not going to leave you hanging once you buy the book. As you know, the book would be a total waste of your 99 cents if all you did was read and ponder it. We're not going to let that happen! Starting November 1, I’m hosting a 21 day self discipline challenge along with Cyrstal from ServingJoyfully.com and Erin from HomeWithTheBoys.net. We will all go through the book together and provide each other with extra accountability and even more motivation! We can do this together.
We will be posting the challenge details on October 31. For now you just need to go ahead and buy the ebook if you want to take advantage of the lower price. The book has you complete one major project (she calls it “mega-project’) that you work on each day along with smaller daily tasks. Think about what major project you want accomplish. It could be cleaning out your junk room, re0organizing a closet, learning something new, starting a blog, etc. I haven't chosen mine yet. There's far too many projects that I need to work on. Come back on October 31 to find out.
The challenge will be open to everyone with or without a blog. To stay updated on the challenge details you can subscribe via email to my blog by clicking here and also head over to ServingJoyfully.com and subscribe to her blog as well. Also be sure to follow @homewiththeboys on twitter as she'll be leading the twitter part of the challenge.
Don’t forget, to take advantage of the 99 cent price, you’ll need purchase the book before Friday.

lol…I’m cracking up that you don’t have your mega project decided b/c last night (ahem early this morning) when I was typing out my post I was thinking “I hope Laura doesn’t get made at me that I don’t have my project decided yet.” Good to know we’re in the same boat 🙂
