Top 5 Kitchen Organizing Products
I've tested (and loved!) sooo many organizing products in my time. But I've narrowed it down to my top 5 kitchen organizing products to show you the best of the best! Keep reading or watch the video here for my must-have kitchen organizing products!
5. Drawer Organizers
This really is the only way I've found to organize the little items and gadgets in a kitchen. I currently use these acrylic organizers from Amazon. However, they won't be the solution for everyone. The big problem is that not all kitchen cabinet drawers are the same size, and I HATE wasting two inches of drawer space just because I don't have the right size organizer.
The ones I use here come in a ton of different sizes, so it's easier to find ones that will fit without wasting too much space. Another line of organizers I like are the Brightroom ones sold at Target. They don't come in nearly as many different sizes, but they are just a little bit flexible, so you can squish them in a bit better, and if you're lacking an eighth of an inch of space, for example, they will still work!
Your best bet here is to measure your drawer interiors and go shopping with your tape measure. Drawer organizers all serve the same purpose. The important thing is to get the ones that fit the best! I let my drawer sizes dictate which brands I buy in this category.
4. mDesign Acrylics from Amazon
This is a suuuuper functional product! What I love best about them is that they are designed to fit the shelves of both a lower and an upper cabinet. I hate it when containers are just a smidge too long, and then you can't close the cabinet door. I never have that problem with the mDesign products. They have a size for upper cabinets and a size for lower cabinets. I use both!
One way I really put these to work is in my lower cabinets. Honestly, I just do not have enough drawer space here. But my shelves in the lower cabinets are adjustable. So I create tighter shelf spaces and put these bins in and use them as I would a drawer. They're easy to pull in and out, and as a bonus, I can easily take it all the way out and move the whole thing to the counter if I want to.
3. Turntables
These are just perfect in a kitchen! I use them in lots of places, but I find them especially helpful in upper cabinets. I'm not brand loyal with turntables at all, but I do choose ones with high sides for bottles like flavorings or oils and vinegars. I use the low/no sided ones for jars and cans.
The reason it's so useful in an upper cabinet is it's tough to see what you have if you keep things stacked in front of each other. You also have to pull things out to get to the back items. Then they will often get “lost” at the back, and you end up re-purchasing….not good! With a turntable, you only need a small opening, and you can turn the whole thing around to see all your items and get to them easily.
2. Tension Drawer Dividers
I love these tension dividers for the drawers where I store my longer items like spatulas. They don't take up much space, but they add a lot of structure and really help to keep things neat. I also use my Cricut Joy to label things along the top edge of the divider. It may be overkill, but it helps me (and my family!) know where everything belongs.
1. The Multi-Purpose Bin
If you've been around here long, you probably saw this one coming, LOL! I love the multi-purpose bins from The Container Store for almost every room in my house. I use them all throughout my pantry, too. I can easily label the bins, and the various sizes are great for storing different things. I can pull the bins out and move them around or bring them to where I'm cooking. I just can't say enough about them!
The only bad part about them is that they are too long to fit in an upper cabinet. However, I've found they still work really well for corralling things under the sink, so I use them there as well as in my pantry.
