My Top 10 Organizing Products
“What are your favorite organizing products?” I get asked about this all time, and while it is so hard to narrow it down, I managed to choose 10 of my favorites to share with you in this consolidated list!
If you want to see them all for yourself, check out this video where I am showcasing each one. Or keep reading for a full description and link to each of them! And yes, this post does contain affiliate links, but I use all of these products in my own home and love them!
1 – Multipurpose Bins from The Container Store
These Multipurpose bins have to be at the top of the list. They are so versatile, very affordable, and come in four different sizes. I’ve used them in my office, laundry room, garage, car, and pantry. I’m sure I could find a use for these in every room of the house! Complete with handles that make them easy to carry or pull off the shelf, these come in multiple colors and automatically make a space look tidy and organized. If you want to see more, I have a whole post dedicated to these bins here.
2 – Our Bins from The Container Store
These Our Bins are clear bins that come with a lid, which makes them great for stacking (without sliding around). They are designed for use in a closet, so the different sizes are named for closet items (such as shoe, sweater, boot, etc.), but I’ve used them in the linen closet, for toiletries, etc. The one downside to these is that mixing and matching sizes means they don’t stack to even heights (if that kind of thing bothers you), but I still think they are a fantastic product!
3 – Y-Weave Plastic Baskets from Target
If you’re looking for something sturdy and easy to clean that could also pass for a decorative item, these Y-Weave baskets are it! They are offered in multiple sizes and colors, and are easy to label using dry erase label clips from Target. I’ve used the extra deep one for linens, but the sky is the limit with these!
4 – Canvas Bins from Target
These canvas cubes are my go-to organizing product for kids’ toys! They come in lots of patterns, designs, and colors and fit in most cube storage units (like the ones you get from IKEA). They are very sturdy, have great handles, and since they are not see-through, they hide toys really well! I like to label them with heat-transfer vinyl so I can add cute pictures for my kids, but the dry erase labels from Target also fit. If you have a few more than you need at the moment, simply fold them up to store.
5 – Canvas Bins from Amazon
These bins from Amazon are the perfect cross between flexible and sturdy material. They have a metal rim and stay in place when you set them up, but they have some give in the sides. They come in a wide variety of sizes. The biggest is even big enough to hold throw blankets! I just love how the handles give them a beautiful, decorative look.
6 – Photo boxes
This is another organizing item that I have dedicated a whole blog post to! I store pretty much everything in them except photos! Sticky notes, paper clips, batteries, greeting cards, flash cards, the options are endless! You can store them flat or standing up. I love that they latch and are easy to throw into a bag for on-the-go (think crayon box for kids).
7 – Kuggis Bins from IKEA
These Kuggis bins are probably the most “famous” around here since I have a whole lot of them displayed on the shelves behind me in my office! They are right up there at the top of my list, for sure. They are a white hard plastic, which makes vinyl labels really pop. I also love how they make everything look uniform since they are not see-through. They do have a lid, and they have a deep lip on top, which make them great for stacking without sliding around. Two smaller ones fit perfectly on top of one larger bin, which is enough to make any organizer happy.
8 – Divided Acrylic Lazy Susan from The Container Store
This is such a fun product! Any time you use a lazy Susan, you can really maximize space, since it allows you to easily access items just by turning it around. I currently use one in my office and my pantry. The high sides make it so that items don’t fall out, and it spins very smoothly. I think it would be great for adding labels, as well.
9 – Clear Acrylic Organizer from The Container Store
These bins come in tons of different sizes that nest easily inside the larger sizes. The best use I have found for them is organizing art supplies for my kids. You can see them in action in this post. The acrylic on these looks like high-quality material, and it is also easy to see what’s inside.
10 – Dymo Label Maker and Cricut Joy
These last products aren’t storage containers like everything else on the list, but I can’t talk about my favorite organizing products without mentioning my favorite label makers! The Dymo Label Maker is very affordable, and refilling it is a breeze.
If you want to add a little flair or variety to your labels, the Cricut Joy is the best option since it is small, portable, and you don’t even have to have a mat for it. I don’t know what I would do without these!
There you have it! I hope you found something new that you’re excited to organize with. Let me know YOUR favorite organizing products in the comments below, so maybe I can find something new to add to my list, too!

I was really looking forward to seeing what printer you are so happy with, as I also had a bad experience with a color laser….. BUT the Instagram story cut off before you got around to telling the name of the printer. Admittedly I am not very experienced with Instagram, so it is possible that it is me, but I don’t know how to access the rest of your story, and am really wanting to know your success story. And I don’t see it in your post here. : ( Thanks for sharing all that you share.

Thank you so much for offering to be able to read your post instead of just listening. My attention span and interests are much greater reading than listening.

Hi! I also love the y weave baskets from Target just like you do! However, I can’t find the dry erase label clips you show in your video from. Target. Do you maybe have a link you could send me please?
Thank You!

I too love the ability to read and thanks for offering both options. Wish I could see the items you recommend however. On this and the last page I looked at (clearing clutter with reverse organizing), the photos are no longer operative. I don’t know why that happens but on my own website, I know I have to go and fix this issue every so often too. Talk about a pain…!
Anyway thanks for this site; glad I found you through finding out about the summit. Looking forward to that and meanwhile I can explore your site!

I just found your site today, and I’m lol-ing – I use 8 out of 10 on this list. My favorites are the Photo Storage and Kuggis IKEA bins, but I’m starting to really love my Cricut Joy. The software switch from my Silhouette was a bit of an investment, but I LOVE no mat. Any tips to love the Smart Vinyl over Oracle?
Here are two of my other favorites:
–IRIS Slim Portable Project Case – These are SO useful to store board games (all the SAME size so games now look fabulous on your shelves!), flat toys with little parts, and a ton of other things. Great price and the locking lids are key. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GTX8KQ2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
–It took me 30 years to figure this out, but these inexpensive but large drawers great for your bathroom toiletries, hair things, and medicines. I can stack two on top of each other under the sinks. They are not as fancy as some, but are super functional inside your cabinets with cute labels. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-3-Drawer-Unit-White/15442451?athbdg=L1300
