Planner Peek: Kari
I am really excited to bring you another installment of the Planner Peek series! I don’t know about you, but I just LOVE being able to sneak a peek inside other people’s planners. I love to see how they use them, how they decorate them, what type of planner they use, etc. I have asked my readers to submit photos of their planners and to tell us a bit about how they use their planning system. (You can submit your planner by filling out this really short and easy form. If you’re selected, you’ll get a free copy of the digital Sweet Life Planner worth $35!) All of the Planner Peeks in this series have been so fun to see.
Kari use two planners that she put together using the Arc discbound system from Staples. (Go here to see how the discbound system works if you're not familiar with it.) She uses one for personal and one for her business.
I absolutely love the color of her purple Arc binder, and I love how she decoratied the covers with vinyl. Here's what she says about why she likes having two planners: “Different lists and goals for each so it is nice to have it separate. Then if I am working I take my business one and if I am having fun with the family I leave that one at home. Otherwise I will work business 24/7.” Great advice!
Her calendar and weekly docket in this planner are from here in my Etsy shop. I absolutely love that she used this printable set because it's my personal favorite of all the sets I've created, and she found the perfect purple binder for it. (Purple is my favorite color, in case you couldn't tell.)
She uses Pilot Frixion Erasable Pens in her calendar. Each family member has color, and she has a color for personal and a color for business.
She fills out a weekly docket each Sunday night. She also completes a daily docket each night before bed. That helps her plan for the day ahead and also lets her get things off her mind which helps her to sleep better.
In her business planner she tracks her monthly sales and goals for her business. She tracks each event as it comes and goes making notes about how it went. She records details because she might think it was “busy” but the numbers don't lie. Plus she keeps all her tax for that even t with the sheet. She also has a lead tracking sheet where she keeps contact info with a note section so she can make notes about chats with her customers. You can find the direct sales tracking printable sheet that she uses here.
She also says: “I have played with many different planner. None of which had everything I needed. This lets me build the system that works for me. And I am able to change it up if something is not working. Don't give up – it takes time to find the “glass system” for you that fits right.” I'm so glad she's found something that really works for her!
