Planner Peek: Athena
I am really excited to bring you another installment of the Planner Peek series! I don’t know about you, but I just LOVE being able to sneak a peek inside other people’s planners. I love to see how they use them, how they decorate them, what type of planner they use, etc. I have asked my readers to submit photos of their planners and to tell us a bit about how they use their planning system. (You can submit your planner by filling out this really short and easy form. If you’re selected, you’ll get a free copy of the digital Sweet Life Planner worth $35!) All of the Planner Peeks in this series have been so fun to see.
Athena is a house wife, who will be a stay-at-home mom in August or September, and she decided a while ago she needed a planner. The planner Athena has chosen to use is a Staples ARC 5.5 x 8.5. She, like most of us, needs to know what she is going to do and she needs to know it ahead of time. Athena says she is still new to the “planner thing”, so hers is not flashy, but rather, it's stuff she needs to know, when she needs to know it. Athena can also access her planner fast whenever she needs to. Right now, Athena's planner is full of baby appointments, baby classes, bills and a few other things. Being a new mom myself (Savannah was born August 1st), I can certainly relate to the items in Athena's planner!
Athena recently made an amazing discovery of washi tape. Athena has found the color to be easy to spot and; therefore, she made washi tabs for all her upcoming baby classes. She also uses post-it tabs and declares that the relationship she has with post-it tabs is borderline dangerous!
Athena is a minimalist when it comes to her planner mainly because her organizational goals are to write notes, find stuff, and find it now! She uses pens, highlighters, as well as minimal washi tape and that's about it.
Athena plans on doing more to her planner. She'd like to start making her own pages for the next set and she also needs to have a budget system. She loves the size of her planner because it can fit in her purse or her baby bag. I find this to be a very nice feature of Athena's planner.
I love the simplicity of Athena's planner and how functional it is. Below is a composite look at her planner ideal for pinning.
