Organizing Kitchen Spices
I have seen a lot of adorable ways to organize kitchen spices floating around the internet. First up, here’s some spice organization eye-candy.
These chalkboard spice jars from Raising Up Rubies are absolutely the cutest spice jars I’ve ever seen! I didn’t go with this method because I don’t have very many shallow drawers:
Next up, we have this magnetic spice jar idea from addicted2decorating. I love this because she did such a great job making it look so elegant! Plus, I love that she used jars with screw on lids, so they’re nice and secure.
Here are some magnetic spice jars on the inside of a cabinet from iheartorganizing.
Now, here’s the method I ultimately chose. I’ve been using it for a while now and I really love it!
The rack and little jars are from Ikea. It wasn’t too expensive, and I love the little jars. This hangs right next to my stove so it’s super convenient when I’m cooking.
Of course, I added some adorable little labels to them. These spice jars labels are the most popular item in my Etsy shop, so I guess other people like them as well.
One word to the wise: when filling your spice jars make sure you label first, then pour your spices into the jar. Don’t do what someone else (not mentioning any names) and pour all your spices in, and then try to figure what spices are what! It’s a lot harder than you think as many of them look pretty similar. This un-named person may still have their onion powder labeled as garlic powder and vice versa.
How do you organize your spices? Have you seen any new spice organizing ideas lately?

Saying hi from SITS. Love all the ideas. Funny about labeling first :-). I have pull-out drawers, two with angled dividers to lay the spices on, and two just open so I can put in unusual shaped jars or bottles or packages.

All methods you displayed look very nice for spice organization. I had to LOL about the labeling jars first. 🙂

I wish you’d come to my house! Are there any pretty organizing systems for inside a cabinet? We have our spices on two of those turntable things. Not cute and not always practical either!

I use those same Ikea jars, but mine are not labeled and really should be. It is amazing how much Paprika, Chile, Chipotle look alike, but don’t taste alike!

I think your ikea rack is my favorite. I don’t have enough wall space in my kitchen for a magnetic option, but I could put a rack right under one of the cabinets.
BTW, I’m stopping by via Miss Angie.

I love your cute little spice jars, they are adorable. It totally makes me jealous that we don’t have an Ikea near, because I think I’d copy exactly. I’d love for you to share this at my link party “Organize My Life” that opens every Monday night. Stop on by http://maryorganizes.com! Have a great day!
